Ferrule Gap Jonesboro, AR

Opened 2013

South Main still smells like well oil if a gland nut just turned.

Ferrule Gap began because Rhett Lang was tired of Jonesboro players buying a painted collar and then hearing a click every time Crowley Ridge steamed.

The first feeler was a leftover packing gauge from a cousin who tended irrigation wells east of town. The first lamp was a hardware-store work light. The charter has not changed: daylight first, epoxy second, paint pens never.

We still will not treat a driver ferrule as the primary. The head maps irons and wedges, because that is where a starved joint tells on you in this rice town. Heat still walks the ring while the trunk stays shut overnight. That is the whole story, reprinted every July.
